Challenge
Foundational astrological concepts can be complex and unfamiliar to many people. The astrologer wanted a scaleable method of familiarizing her clients with these concepts so she could focus on an individual's reading during meetings.
My
Solution
I created a series of self-directed minicourses covering foundational concepts in astrology. Each course engages learners with vivid imagery, interactive learning activities, and knowledge checks. Information is presented multple modalities to accommodate learner preference. I chose the Rise platform so content can be easily added or modified.
Why
It Works
Carefully organizating complicated information into logical units reduces cognitive load and helps learners build mental schemas for the new concepts. Enabling learners to interact with new concepts in a variety of ways strengthens the neural connections that form the basis of learning. Repeating key terms and concepts in varying modalities also strengthens the learners' neural connections.
